bar harbor manor or bayview?

Hello,

Spending the week before Labor day in Bar Harbor. Can%26#39;t decide between the manor or the bayview. the manor is about $500 less/week. The bay view has a pool and is ocean front but 1 mile to town. The manor is only a few blocks to town, is not ocean front, but has a kitchen. (is the temp warm enough to swim in the pool the first week in sept?) any advice appreciated. Thanks!

It%26#39;s hard to answer your post because only you can make these decisions for yourself. Would you rather be able to walk to town or would you rather have a pool? The Bayview offers free breakfast in the mornings so maybe you won%26#39;t need the kitchen. Will you be spending most of your time in the park? Is a view from your room important?

The bayview is a mile from the edge of the village of Bar Harbor. It will be 1.5 - 2 miles to get to some of the restaurants and shops and the first mile is along the Rt 3 busy road into town. There is a wide sidewalk, but it%26#39;s not a very interesting walk so I don%26#39;t think you%26#39;ll enjoy doing it multiple times a day. The free shuttle does stop out by the Bayview so you don%26#39;t always need to drive into town. It will be warm enough to swim in the pool in August.
