I have to travel for business to the Moosehead area in the next couple of weeks. Since the foliage is likely to be at or near peak, I%26#39;d love to bring my dog and hike when my work is done.
Anyone know if there are any dog-friendly places in the area that aren%26#39;t too expensive?
Dog-Friendly and not too pricey in the Moosehead area?

Thank you!
These guys weren%26#39;t kidding when they named their hotel Kineo View. OMG, I woke up Sunday morning, not long after sunrise when mist was rising off the lake and the view was incredible. I pulled my curtain back and just stared in awe.
They aren%26#39;t just dog-friendly, they are dog crazy. They oohed and ahhed over my dog, asked his name, gave him cookies and asked him to do tricks.
We (my dog and I) hiked Kineo and I highly recommend it. You can pick up the Kineo Shuttle at the dock in Rockwood and it%26#39;s a very short (10 minute?) ride over. The trail is well marked, a little bit strenuous at places where you have to crawl over rocks, but nothing too challenging to folks who are couch potatoes most of the time. The Indian Trail has excellent views all the way to the top, and there are plenty of places to stop and catch your breath or enjoy a snack. As if all the great views on the way up aren%26#39;t enough, you get to a Fire Tower at the top with a 360 degree view of the entire Moosehead Region. Not too shabby.
Can%26#39;t wait to go back again!
