Best bagel in Bangor

I used to live in northern Maine and loved visiting on Main Street to pick up the best bagels I have ever had. Does Main Street still have a bakery that makes bagels. Have friends that pass through would love to taste them again

I travelled to Bangor this past August and found the Friar%26#39;s Bakehouse. It%26#39;s located at 21 Central. Good smells waft through the screen door, just begging you to come in a try the bread, scones, cookies and much more. The good monks really know how to bake. And yes, they really are monks in their hooded brown robes.

The bagel shop that used to be called, ';The Bagel Shop'; (original huh)on Main moved locations. But not far away. They are now on Central street, and called... drum roll. Another interesting name... ';Central Bagel';. It is the same people and the same bagels and goodies, just newer/ cleaner/ brighter location.
