What to do in the rain

Husband and I are coming to Camden this weekend - exactly when the three days of constant rain are scheduled to hit the coast. Does anyone have any suggestions for things to do in the area in the rain? We had wanted to go hiking but think it will be too wet and muddy for that.

What to do in the rain

A little bit of a drive -- but the Maine State Museum in Augusta is a fantastic place to spend several hours on a rainy day --

Their website is: http://www.state.me.us/museum/

Please note, though, that they%26#39;re not open on Sundays (bummer!).

After the museum, drive about four miles south on US 201 to Hallowell....once the ';antiques capital of New England'; it still has it%26#39;s share of funky shops, several good places to eat (not necessarily fine dining, but a variety of offerings at reasonable prices) -- Slate%26#39;s and the Liberal Cup (both on the main drag) are two local favorites.

Here%26#39;s a link to the Camden/Lincolnville Chamber web site. Hopefully you%26#39;ll find something fun there!

I second the Farnsworth and just generally poking around in Rockland.

Is Slate%26#39;s open? I thought they had a fire or something...

Thanks to MainerontheGo for mentioning some ';inland'; options. Poking around Hallowell (';The drinking town with the antique problem';) is a good suggestion.

Yes CB, Slates reopened back in June/July and is going strong...better than ever actually...in renovated space.
