My hubby and I are cominf into Bar Harbor on a cruise ship in 2 weeks, where is a good place for scallops, we will be going fo0r lunch, they are my very ,very favorite and they i have tried so many resteraunts in the south and none of them have even come close to the scalliops i had in maine the one time i visited.
Also any ideas on how to spend some time while there, i thinkl we are there almost 8 hrs, and we do not dop the ships excursions, too many people.
Scallops
I would try Galyn%26#39;s on Main Street for lunch. There%26#39;s not a lot of lunch places to choose from. Galyn%26#39;s offers good seafood. Probably Geddy%26#39;s would be pretty good also - right next door to Galyn%26#39;s and a little more casual.
If you don%26#39;t want to do the excursions from the ship, I would suggest hopping on the free Island Explorer bus and taking it to the Visitor Center of the park. There you can catch the bus that takes you around the Park Loop Road. You can get off and on and spend the day exploring the park a little. Go to acadiamagic.com for some great suggestions on hikes and walks. Some I%26#39;d recommend are the Great Head Trail, walk around Jordan Pond, or hike up the North and South Bubble.
