Best B&B in Freeport?

My husband and I will be there December 10th for a few days following a business trip to Boston. Suggestions on B%26amp;B%26#39;s? Places to eat?

Thanks.

The Harraseeket Inn, in Freeport is one of our favorites. The Broad Arrow Tavern in the Inn is cosy. Across the street is the Jameson%26#39;s Tavern, another good place.

Another good restaurant is Azure Cafe, in the same block as Jameson Tavern.

Already mentioned is Broad Arrow Tavern, inside Harraseeket Inn. This is casual, fun place with a large menu with evrything from pizza/burgers to steak/lobster. No reservations but can call to be placed on waiting list.

Freeport is *only* 15 minutes or so from the ';big city'; of Portland with a huge number of dining options at all levels.

Consider Sea Grass Bistro in neighboring Yarmouth off Rte 1 or Falmouth Sea Grill off Rte 1A in Falmouth Foreside.

Try chowhound.com%26#39;s New England forum as a dining resource.

If you want to make the approximate 20-minute drive to Portland, I have two suggestions:

Fore Street http://www.forestreet.biz

and its companion restaurant, Street %26amp; Company

Both are in the Old Port area---about four blocks apart. Fore Street has a diverse menu and the ability to watch everything being cooked; Street %26amp; Company is devoted to seafood. Their lobster over linguini in garlic sauce is a classic.

Two personal favourites -

B%26amp;B - The White Cedar Inn

Dining - The Mediterranean Grill (I love Turkish food and this did not disappoint).
