I%26#39;ll be in Freeport Maine on Friday November 7th. Does anybody have a suggestion on a good restaurant for seafood? We%26#39;ve been to freeport before but have always just had a quick meal at ';Friendly%26#39;s';...was looking for something a bit more classy but not necessarily too expensive. We heard that lobster prices have gone down dramatically - does anybody know of any good deals?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The seasonal lobster ';shacks'; are closed for season.

In Freeport try Broad Arrow Tavern (inside Harraseekett Inn) or Jameson Tavern for moderate priced seafood, etc. Morrison%26#39;s for lobster stew.

(Avoid Lobster Cooker, awful ';tourist trap';).

Other nearby options include Muddy Rudder and Royal River Grill in Yarmouth (adjacent town south on Rte One).

Jameson Tavern is one of our favorite places in Freeport, for a comfortable dinner. The prices are moderate.
