Hello,
I%26#39;m a big TripAdvisor fan %26amp; thought I%26#39;d toss something out to the experts here. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a B%26amp;B for an outdoor wedding in Southern Maine (target area is anywhere south of Boothbay Harbor, hopefully near Ogunquit/Kennebunk). Ideally, I%26#39;d love to find somewhere that 1) has a nice lawn with a water view for the ceremony, 2) some sort of room indoors where we can have the ceremony if it rains, 3) nice guest rooms, and 4) innkeepers that wouldn%26#39;t mind having a wedding at their B%26amp;B. The wedding will be really small (35-40 people max), off-season, and I%26#39;m hoping to spend $7,500 or less on the wedding as a whole - so suggestions for smaller venues (possibly off the beaten path) that wouldn%26#39;t charge high fees for the ceremony or venue ';rental'; would be fantastic. Also, if someone knows of a great catering company for the dinner or a great restaurant nearby, I would be forever in your debt!
Thanks in advance!

Southern Maine B%26amp;B for an outdoor wedding?
In Boothbay Harbor:

We got married at the Nonantum Resort and Inn in Kennebunkport in 2001. Outside, on the lawn with beautiful view, right on the water and fall foliage to boot! I can not recommend them enough! Food was fantastic! And friends and family still tell us what a blast our wedding was. Not exactly a B%26amp;B, but definitely worth checking out. We did our ceremony on the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend so it was a bit cheaper with the Sunday rental. Good luck, I am sure you will receive a lot of useful infor here!
Hi hikergirl622,
Some of the suggestions given were wonderful and though you asked about places south of BBH in the Ogunquit/Kennebunk area, the Spruce Pt. Inn as suggested by CB48 I believe, is a popular and lovely spot for weddings. I sometimes walk that area and they have a beautiful outdoor area w/decking, covered gazebo and gorgeous views out to sea, islands and the outer harbor. Its also only a 5 minute drive to town.
However, if the Kennebunks and Ogunquit areas are really what you want, then you might check out the Cape Arundel Inn and/or the Beachmere.
I%26#39;ve never stayed at the Cape Arundel Inn (located in Kennebunk) but know its in a beautiful, upscale area w/lovely old summer homes and gorgeous views out to sea. From the outside and the website, it looks like it would be a great place to hold a wedding, though I don%26#39;t know if they have the facilities for one. It is within viewing distance of Bush 41%26#39;s summer home at Walker Point.
The Beachmere Inn is located on the Marginal Way in Ogunquit with fantastic, panoramic views of the ocean. However, I haven%26#39;t any idea if they have facilities for weddings. You may want to google their site and see what they offer.
Good luck :).

I%26#39;ve just returned from my weekend wedding at the Bear Mountain Inn. The grounds are breathtaking, the activities are plentiful, the food is delectable, the innkeeper is patient and supportive, and the help is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING (meaning that they are thoughtful, knowledgeable and efficient.) All of our guests stayed at the Inn and they were all very pleased with the service and friendliness that they received. In addition, The Bear Mountain Inn provided recommendations for other services that were all exceptional!!! I am so pleased to have found them and still glowing from the perfection of the weekend! Thank you everyone at the Inn- you have made me a very happy bride!
