The contract has been awarded for the operation of Wildwood Stables, which operates the carriage rides in the park.
According to the article in the on-line edition of the Bar Harbor Times, the new contractor will operate the stables from 6 June through 18 October; this adds a week on each end of the stable%26#39;s season.
Other than that change (and some new equipment), there will not be any significant changes to operation. Some carriage-ride schedules may be altered in the autumn to better accommodate cruise-ship passengers.
