My husband and I are going to Old Orchard Beach the weekend after Labor Day and I am thinking about booking a 1/2 day deep sea fishing trip. Anyone have any suggestions on which charter I should call?
deep sea fishingI doubt that you will find a 1/2 for deep sea fishing. 1/2 trips usually only go out for stripers and are considered inland fishing. Deep sea trips take so long to get out there that its not worth the trip unless its a full day. Striper fishing is great fun and I would highly recommend the Trina Lyn (http://www.trinalyn.com). We%26#39;ve chartered this boat out of OOB for each of the past 4 years and captain Todd is excellent. We have always caught fish, and he really makes it easy for his customers. Basically, you fish, he does all the rest. Good luck!
deep sea fishingwe have also booked aboard the Trina Lyn for several years. Our first trip was for Groundfish. We did well, but that type of fishing can really make your arms sore. Every year since we have done the 1/2 day near coastal trip for Striped Bass and Bluefish. That has been a blast, and we always landed fish. Captain Tod has been a charter captain since the early 90%26#39;s. Book early because he does fill up. good luck and happy fishing. Mario
