What is the latest on the snowfall amounts in Portland for Wednesday and Thursday%26#39;s storm? I plan to drive up tonight.

Get there early. The forecast I see for Portland is 3 to 6 inches tonight (mostly after midnight, apparently) then another inch or so, mixed with rain, tomorrow.

We are expecting about the same thing here on MDI.

Latest forecast I%26#39;ve seen for Portland area is for snow to begin between 7:00 and 9:00 tonight, continue overnight heavy at times, and ending by mid-day tomorrow (Thursday).

Snowfall amounts vary because forecasters seem to disagree over whether or not it will turn over to rain before ending... Have seen accumulation forecasts anywhere from 6'; to 12';.

Thanks, I wish I could leave now but have to go to work first. I guess I will postpone my trip until tomorrow. :(

By morning, it sounds like a change to rain here. Just watch the temps for black ice. Right now, it%26#39;s doing nothing here in south coastal Maine, but it clouded up quickly this afternoon and ';smells'; like rain.
