Saddleback Lake Lodge?

My family and I are considering a vacation at Saddlebak Lake Lodge. My mother and grandmother used to go there some forty years ago, but haven%26#39;t been since. Due to the pricing, we were afraid of the quality of the cottage and the friendliness of our neighboors. Would this be an okay place to take a ninty year old woman, her daugther, and her fourteen year old grand-daughter? What is it like now? Thank you.

Saddleback Lake Lodge?

I don%26#39;t know how useful this is, but we stayed in a cabin there about 10 years ago. It was very quiet, the cabin a bit rustic, but serviceable and comfortable. I would think it would be a fine place to take everyone in your family for a relaxing vacation. The scenery is lovely. We hardly ever saw anyone else there, so I can%26#39;t comment on the friendliness of the neighbors. The cabins are pretty widely spaced, as I recall, so even if there is someone next door you might never hear them. I%26#39;d stay there again if I were vacationing in the area, unless things have changed over the past 10 years.

Saddleback Lake Lodge?

Saddleback Lake Lodge is all privately owned cabins. With this being said I assume that you are in touch with the home owner or a rental agency to rent a cabin. Because each is individually owned the upkeep and decor could vary by cabin. The area is quite and tranqil as is a bit out of the village of Rangeley and on Saddleback Lake. It is a great location if you plan to downhill or cross country ski (if you are going in the winter).

Saddleback Lake Lodge is a throwback to the way life should be. If you enjoy a quiet lake with nothing but the loons (no snow mobiles, jet skis, or motor boats) and a place without ego, then Saddleback Lake Lodge is for you. Very kid friendly and acres of lawn and beaches. Great for cross country and alpine skiers (Saddleback Mtn is on the rise). The association provides row boats and canoes. And they stock the lake with brook trout. To be close to the beach and docks and the outdoor fireplace, consider the main lodge units. They%26#39;re very nice and you can%26#39;t hear the neighbors. If you want to be far away from the beach, try the capes. All are great. The price is a VALUE and everything is in great condition (a couple cabins are dated though). Book early as many families return year after year.

Saddleback Lake is a beautiful quiet small lake where you can enjoy wildlife: loons, osprey, eagles, GBH, owls, and lots of moose and deer.

The lake is shallow so it warms up fast in the summer. Some of the camps are small, old and maybe quaint, but also many are fully updated. Or try the nice new log cabin that is for rent across the cove at www.saddlebacklakerental.com
