Aurora Inn or Cromwell Harbor

It%26#39;s time again for our every other year trip! I%26#39;ve always stayed at the same place and this time am trying something new. I%26#39;m down to these two places. Recommendations/Thoughts?!?!

Aurora Inn or Cromwell Harbor

Hmmm. I think I%26#39;d prefer Cromwell Harbor. It would probably be a bit quieter. Aurora is a small place, right on a busy corner. Cromwell Harbor is set back from the road a bit and has some grounds, unlike Aurora. If you headed into Acadia from Cromwell Harbor, you would miss all of Bar Harbor traffic. The same couldn%26#39;t be said for Aurora. Either one would be about the same distance to walk to the center of town. Cromwell Harbor is closer to the ocean and the Shore Path.

I%26#39;m just a local. I%26#39;ve never been inside of either place so I can only give advice on location.

I would say that there is another possible advantage to Cromwell Harbor. It is directly across the street from the beginning of the new Schooner Head path that is being developed---see the thread on this forum.

If I had my way we%26#39;d be living there now:) But I have to wait to retire and enjoy the visits when I can get them.
