I%26#39;m staying there on Friday night, I can try and take some pictures. I%26#39;m with you, I don%26#39;t get it. You would think they would want to toot their own horn with a new hotel and everything. Maybe they just haven%26#39;t gotten around to it...

maybe just a quick description if you aren%26#39;t able to get pics...I have a conference with co workers Sept. 19th so need to book soon. Thanks!!

Of all the hotels we stayed in, it was the nicest! The location isn%26#39;t perfect, it sits right near another hotel off the main road across from a Christmas Shop, and there is some construction in front of it and is close to the highway, but wasn%26#39;t real loud. I did hear a little noise from inside the living room, but none in the bedroom.

Lobby is beautiful, rooms are fantastic, with flat panel TV%26#39;s, and a door to separate the living and dining area. Kitchen is large and really has all you need for a longer stay. Hot breakfast in the morning was really good. They have a basketball court and an activity area if you face the back.

I totally forgot to take pictures, but hotel is new, very clean and very nice!

thanks so much, I booked on price and location to hospital and the old port (holiday inn by the bay), but will keep this one in mind for my annual christmas shopping trip.

How much can I get the holiday inn for? is the homewood walking distance to downtown? thanks. ITS.

ITS,

The Holiday Inn by the bay is about 150$/night. I%26#39;m not sure what you mean by walking distance to ';down town'; but it is right near the Old Port. The Homewood seems to be about 100$ more per night and is over by the mall.

I don%26#39;t think you can really walk to too much from the Homewood, except the Michaels and Christmas Shop across the street. It is very close to the mall (right over the hill), but probably about a mile or so.

Just had to weigh in on Homewood Suites! Although the location isn%26#39;t good if you%26#39;re wanting to walk from your hotel to Portland sights, it is a very handy location just off of the major roads for quick access. My husband and I agreed, hands down, that this was the best place that we stayed during our whole week along the coast! Very clean and modern with all of the in-room details that we have come to expect from a $300+ a night or more hotel. We paid less than $100! Plush bedding, rotating flat screen TV, spacious granite vanity area separate from large walk-in shower. The kitchen was so handy as well - large refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, granite counters...not just a dinky kitchenette. If you%26#39;re looking for a great overnight stop in the area or a good central driving base for sightseeing, you can%26#39;t go wrong!
