Hi all!
I am headed down to Portland over Valentine%26#39;s Day weekend, and have a dilemma chosing which place to have supper one eve. The three that caught my attention were Cinque Terre, the sister restaurant Vignola and The Roma Cafe. I have been to Portland before, and had eaten at Fore Street. I know it%26#39;s a good place, but I%26#39;d like to try somewhere different this time. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all!
Best of three restaurants?
I%26#39;m a bit surprised that you haven%26#39;t had a response yet. I have eaten at Roma and enjoyed it---it%26#39;s an older-style place, very nicely furnished, and the food is good. I haven%26#39;t eaten at the other two but from people I know who have (and who are fairly fussy about food), Cinque Terre won out over Vignola.
I note that all three that you mention are Italian restaurants. If you would like something else, and like seafood, you might consider Street and Company, which is Fore Street%26#39;s sister restaurant that specializes in sea food. It is just a couple of doors from Cinque Terre and Vignola.

Cinque Terre.... more expensive, but SO wonderful. I love every bite!
I only get to go there on special occasions though... And usually someone else is paying! :)
Thank you both for your recommendation! I did end up going to Cinque Terra....and it was delicious!
Think I%26#39;ll take your advice and try Street and Co next time we%26#39;re in town. THANKS! :)
