Hair Salon for the Bride

I am looking for recommendations on a great salon. One of my best friends is getting married in Camden next July 4th. Since none of us are from the area we are unsure where to schedule her appointment to get her hair done on her wedding day. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!!

There is a girl named Kim in Rockland who will come to your (to your hotel room, B%26amp;B or whatever) and do your hair on site. Let me email a friend and see if I can find her contact info.

A friend of mine who lives in Camden used her for her wedding this year and the hair was FABULOUS!

That would be great!! Thank you so much! She is getting married on July 4th 2009 at The Whitehall Inn.

I went to a spa in Rockland last April that was great. They do hair, manicures, pedicures, facials, and massage. The prices were really reasonable as well. I can%26#39;t remember the name, but they%26#39;ve only been open for a short while.

Kimberly Doll, the salon is Veloute at 359 Broadway in Rockland, (207) 596-6211. She did hair of all ages (from flower girl and junior bridesmaid to moms) and it all looked good

Thanks so much MicheleS! I will get in touch with her!

The best salon in the Camden area is Mahogany. A little pricey but well worth the cost for a special day.

I agree... Mahogany is by far the classiest hair place in the area.

Just back from my first time at Mahogany as a new client... I went here after asking around on our island.

I agree, I would trust this team implicitly if it were my wedding day!

Bonnie Martz is FANTASTIC - ring the salon on 207-236-6692 - they are centrally located at 63 Elm Street, near the heart of town. Denise (the owner) also comes highly recommended. I noted they do not do on-site wedding work, but they are used to large bridal parties (or simply the bride alone). Do book in advance - I would call and book today to avoid disappointment as I noted the summer calender is already booking out.

Prices are a tad cheaper than salons I used to go to on Cape Cod - and the work is superior. I believe they also may do make-up applications as well.

The building looks like a simple New England clapboard home from the outside, but the interior reveals a beautiful salon.

Hope that helps!
