Maine to Boston/New York

We%26#39;re heading to NYC in April. Flights are ridiculous, and the train is a possibility, but we%26#39;re considering taking the megabus or boltbus from Boston to New York. Has any one done this? If so, what%26#39;s the best/most economical way to get from southern Maine to South Station? It would appear to be Concord Trailways, but maybe someone has another suggestion.

I%26#39;ll be very interested to learn more about those buses as well. I was traveling in southern New England this past weekend and saw both megabus and boltbus rigs. They seemed very ';nice';. Perhaps a post on on Boston/Harford/NYC forums?

I use Concord several times a year, and love %26#39;em.

Thanks, Maine-eh. I have posted in Boston and read the posts in NYC. It sounds pretty positive, and is definitely inexpensive! No matter where I look, it will be a lot more expensive to get from Maine to Boston. I looked at just doing Greyhound to NYC, but it%26#39;s not as economical, and I%26#39;m not sure if they have parking in their Portland lot.

Right now, the most we would pay for the ride between Bos. and NYC is $20 of the two of us. Most fares are less. Apparently the next round of boltbus fares will start soon and maybe we can catch the $1 fares!

OK - how did I mis-spell ';Maine-ah';? It%26#39;s such a great name! They definitely need an editing feature on here...

Jet Blue is $70each way Portland to JFK on some days in April, have you tried playing with your dates a bit, is that possible?
